Manolo Reyes Park
Community & Aquatic Center

Located in a residential area of the City of Miami, Manolo Reyes Park serves as a vital community hub, offering recreation, meeting spaces, and after-school and summer programs for local families.

FGSS was first commissioned to evaluate the existing community center and prepare a feasibility study outlining the improvements needed to modernize the facility. Based on the findings, the City opted to construct a new 10,900-square-foot Community Building to meet increasing demand for enclosed public park space. To maintain full operations during construction, the project was executed in two phases:

Phase I – Construction of the new community center adjacent to the existing facility.

Phase II – Demolition of the old structure and completion of site improvements.

The FGSS-designed West End Park Community Building includes two large multipurpose rooms, a rentable terrace, a computer classroom, activity rooms, a fitness area, accessible restrooms, and staff offices—creating a flexible and modern public space.

Building on these improvements, the next phase introduced major park and aquatic enhancements, including a community pool with lap lanes and a beach-entry area, a children’s splash pad, and a pool facility building with lifeguard and admissions offices, locker rooms, storage, and equipment rooms.

Additional upgrades feature a multipurpose turf sports field with dugouts and bleachers, basketball and tennis courts, walkways with VitaCourse exercise stations, and three new community plazas.

The phased redevelopment of Manolo Reyes Park strengthens its role as a recreational and social anchor for the neighborhood.
